Has Sunak Decided to Transfer a Squadron of Challenger 2 Tanks to Ukraine?

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, has decided to transfer a squadron of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, as reported by the British newspaper Sun, citing sources within the British government.

A source from Downing Street revealed that Sunak will inform Volodymyr Zelensky about the plan, stating that he 'wants Britain's actions to be more than just words.'

A group of four Challenger 2 tanks will be 'immediately' supplied to Eastern Europe, while an additional eight tanks will be delivered shortly thereafter, according to the report.

Earlier, Sky News reported that, for the first time since the beginning of the Russian special military operation, the UK is considering providing Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine. An official announcement regarding this is expected on Monday, as reported by the Guardian.
