Greek Prime Minister on Potential Military Clash between Greece and Turkey

I do not believe we will have a "hot episode" involving the use of weapons. This was stated by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis while discussing the worst-case scenarios regarding the development of relations between Greece and Turkey.

“I am concerned about the escalation of Turkey's rhetoric. I urge Turkey to understand that making foreign policy an instrument for internal party use is not the right strategy,” Mitsotakis said.

He noted that Greece is ready to sit at the negotiating table and resolve the only disagreement with Turkey, which concerns the delimitation of maritime zones in the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean Seas, in accordance with international law.
