British Chief of Staff and Foreign Minister Included in Russian 'Blacklist': Zakharova
The United Kingdom's Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and Chief of the General Staff Patrick Sanders have been included in the Russian 'blacklist.' This was announced by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.
“Due to the continuation of the anti-Russian policy by the government of the United Kingdom, it was decided in January of this year to include a number of members from British ministries, law enforcement agencies, and representatives of the UK journalistic corps in the Russian 'blacklist,'” the statement reads.
Among those included are representatives of the UK Armed Forces Strategic Command and the National Cyber Security Centre.
“We do not find it appropriate to publish the complete list of new figures included in our decision, especially since the London authorities understand who we are talking about,” Zakharova noted.
It is also mentioned that the list includes Michael Gove, the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing, and Communities, and Oliver Dowden, the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
