Video: Assassination Attempt on Berdyansk District Leader - What is Known

An assassination attempt has been carried out against the head of the Berdyansk administration, Alexey Kichigin, in Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported by Russian media outlets, referring to a statement from local authorities.

"On January 13, 2023, at 19:30, Ukrainian special services carried out a terrorist act by blowing up the car of Berdyansk district head Alexey Nikolaevich Kichigin," the statement said.

The official himself was not harmed, as he noticed a suspicious object on the floor of his service vehicle in time. It has been reported that the explosion's power was equivalent to up to one kilogram of explosive material.
