Nine-Year-Old Girl Discovers 2.5-Million-Year-Old Shark Tooth on Beach

A nine-year-old girl in the United States has found an ancient shark tooth estimated to be millions of years old on the beach, according to LADBible. The girl's mother stated that her daughter is interested in archaeology, and this discovery is the most valuable item in her collection.

The woman mentioned that her daughter, Molly, went with her father to search for fossils in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay during Christmas. There, on the beach, the girl discovered a tooth from a megalodon shark that lived 2.5 million years ago.

“My husband has been searching for those teeth his whole life. We have always lived near the bay,” the woman said, adding that Molly has been involved in digging since she learned how to walk. “I’m almost sure that Molly thinks this is the best Christmas she has ever had,” the mother added.
