Karabakh Telecom on Internet Access in Artsakh

Internet services in Artsakh remain unavailable. According to information from the 'Karabakh Telecom' company, the lack of service is temporary. The company has not provided further comments as of yet.

It is worth reminding that on January 12, the Azerbaijani side cut the internet cables entering Artsakh at the location of the so-called 'environmentalists' action. Moreover, the Azerbaijani side is not allowing repair work to be carried out. They are also preventing repairs to the sole high-voltage power line supplying Artsakh from Armenia, which has led to rolling blackouts.

The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, has pointed out the deliberate attempts by the Azerbaijani side to paralyze the operations of vital infrastructure, calling on states and international organizations, primarily the co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group – Russia, the USA, and France – to put an end to Azerbaijan's criminal impunity.

It is also notable that on the morning of December 12, at 10:30 AM, a group of Azerbaijanis allegedly for environmental reasons closed the Stepanakert-Goris road, also making political demands. The blockade of Artsakh by the enemy continues.
