Internet Connection Established Between Armenia and Turkey

Regular steps have been taken towards regulating relations between Turkey and Armenia, diplomatic sources informed TRT Haber.

According to the information, the consular services between Ankara and Yerevan are successfully continuing. "As a result of the negotiations between Turkey and Armenia, it has been possible to carry out air transportation. This is an important contribution to the economic relations of the two countries," it was noted.

Furthermore, it was mentioned that an internet connection has been established between the two countries. "Reciprocal flights are proceeding well. Contact has been established between people, and they are traveling freely. The issues that were previously off the radar during the normalization process have been addressed. Previously, Turkish citizens obtained visas to travel to Armenia from Armenian diplomatic representations in Georgia, as there had been no direct connections with Armenia. The internet connection is now established. Previously, internet access was closed for all of Turkey in Armenia. Now it is open. Consular affairs are also proceeding very well. Some humanitarian measures are also being taken," the source said.
