"Despite the War Being Over, the Struggle Continues": Aliyev
This morning, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev gave an interview to his country's television channels, during which he stated that the international community has accepted the outcomes of the 44-day war in 2020. Aliyev also issued a threatening statement, noting that although the war has ended, "Azerbaijan will continue the struggle.".
“Two years after the war, we can confidently say that the world has accepted the results of the war. We must further strengthen the situation created at the end of the war, that is, we must bolster our positions. Over the past two years, we have achieved what we aspired to, both on the international relations front and within the country.
I am a living witness to the fact that the positive attitude towards Azerbaijan's policies has increased after the war, as the world's political elite understands well the cost at which we achieved victory, against what forces we fought, and that we are still fighting today. Despite the war being over, the struggle continues, and I am confident that we will win; our political and military potential, as well as our economic independence, multiply our strength,” said Ilham Aliyev.
