Noratus Fishermen Clash with Employees of 'Sevan National Park': Police

On January 5, police officers from the Tavush Division conducted operations on Lake Sevan with special unit staff from the 'Sevan National Park' due to the ban on catching the sig fish species. During this time, fishermen approached the boat, obstructing the execution of duties with ten motorboats. Two fishermen even climbed aboard the boat and began to argue with the park employees.

This information was provided by the Armenian police.

As a result of measures taken by the Tavush police division, the identity of the fishermen was established; all seven were residents of the village of Noratus. Following some explanatory work, they appeared at the Tavush police division on January 6. They were then presented to the Gegharkunik regional investigative department along with the prepared documents.

The documents have been sent to the Gegharkunik regional investigative department.
