Azerbaijan Begins Gas Supply to Romania via Georgia
Azerbaijan has started supplying gas to Romania through Georgia. This was reported by aliq.ge.
According to BM.ge, under the agreement signed between SOCAR and Romanian Romgas S.A., imports will take place from January 1, 2023, until April 1, 2023.
Natural gas will be transported from Azerbaijan through the Southern Gas Corridor and the Greece-Bulgaria interconnection. According to information, Georgia also benefits from the loading of the Southern Gas Corridor, receiving gas in exchange for gas transit. According to forecasts for 2023, the additional volume of gas this year will increase by up to 1.4 billion cubic meters.
