Turkish Newspaper Publishes Details on the Exchange of Ukrainian Soldiers with Medvedchuk
The Turkish newspaper Huriyet has published details regarding the exchange of Ukrainian soldiers with opposition figure Viktor Medvedchuk. It is noted that the request for the exchange came from the Russians.
Prior to the exchange, the Russian Federation set a condition that the leaders of the Azov battalion must remain in Turkey. The newspaper reports that Russian and Ukrainian planes landed in turn at Ankara's Esenboğa Airport "under the supervision of Turkish intelligence agents."
The exchange took place without any issues. "Since then, the commanders of the Azov battalion have been guests of Turkey," states the Turkish media.
