German Bild Correspondent Injured in Ukraine

A correspondent for the German newspaper Bild, Björn Stritzel, has been injured by shrapnel in Ukraine. This was reported by him in an article published on the newspaper's website.

The journalist stated that he was injured as a result of an explosion near the city of Druzhkivka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), where he and his colleagues were filming a report. The explosion, he said, occurred on January 2 at around 19:00 local time (coinciding with Moscow time). The blast shattered the doors and windows of the house where the journalists were located.
