Photos: Major Accident - What Happened on Koryun Street Last Night
On January 16, at 02:13, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that an accident had occurred on Koryun Street in Yerevan, resulting in a fire.
A firefighting crew from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs responded, along with a rescue team from the Special Rescue Operations Center.
It was determined that a Mazda vehicle, driven by 26-year-old E. Ch., had veered off the road, collided with a tree, and subsequently crashed into the wall of building number 5 on Koryun Street, catching fire.
Before the arrival of the firefighters, the driver was removed from the vehicle by local residents and was transported to “Heratsi” Hospital Complex No. 1, where his condition was assessed as stable.
The fire was contained at 02:20 and extinguished by 02:53. The engine compartment and part of the interior of the vehicle were burned.
