Rescue Service Provides Details on Barracks Fire

The Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service has provided details regarding the fire at a military unit in the village of Azat in Gegharkunik province. On January 19, at 01:15, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that a building was on fire in the village of Azat.

Emergency response teams from the regional rescue department and three firefighting units were dispatched to the scene. The fire was contained by 02:58 and extinguished by 06:33.

Authorities reported that 15 bodies were recovered from the building, while three individuals with varying degrees of burns were transferred to the Vardenis medical center.
