Pele's daughter has shared a family photograph taken in the hospital, where the 82-year-old football legend has been battling cancer in recent weeks.   “What we are is thanks to you. We love you endlessly. Rest in peace,” she wrote.

Earlier, it was reported that the three-time world champion in football and legendary Brazilian player Pele passed away at the age of 82.   Days prior, Pele had said his goodbyes to family members. On November 30, it was reported that Pele had been admitted to the hospital due to generalized body swelling. The Brazilian was diagnosed with heart failure and confusion. The doctors at the clinic, where the former athlete was hospitalized, stated that the Brazilian was experiencing negative trends due to cancer and therefore required more intensive care due to complications with kidney and heart function.

Pele is a three-time world champion with the Brazilian national team and has been recognized as the Player of the Century by the international football federation.
