Iran to Commence Large-Scale Military Exercises from the Strait of Hormuz to the Indian Ocean

Iran plans to conduct extensive military exercises extending from the eastern part of the Strait of Hormuz to the northern shores of the Indian Ocean. This was reported by Tasnim, citing the statement of the deputy coordinator of the army, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayari.

According to Iranian media, the "Zolfaghar-1401" exercises will involve ground, air, and naval forces. Among the primary objectives of the exercises, Sayari noted the improvement of troops' qualifications for operations under special conditions.

He indicated that the exercises are intended to demonstrate the ineffectiveness of the arms embargo against Iran.
