The Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee Returns Over 23 Billion Dram to the State Budget
The Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee has recorded unprecedented results as a result of its work during the year. In the criminal cases accepted and examined, over 23 billion dram has been restored to the state budget in 2022, marking a tangible outcome that has not been achieved in the sector before.
For comparison, around 5 billion dram was restored in 2021, approximately 2.5 billion dram in 2020, about 5.8 billion dram in 2019, and roughly 8.5 billion dram in 2018. In 2017, nearly 8.5 billion dram was returned to the state due to damages caused, according to the information and public relations department of the State Revenue Committee.
The criminal cases examined by the Investigative Department of the State Revenue Committee pertained to various sectors of economic activity conducted by taxpayers within the territory of Armenia (import-export, mining, service provision, trade, property sales, cases of smuggling, etc.).
