Israel Threatens Iran: Statement from the Country's Defense Ministry
Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz has announced that the country has improved its readiness to launch an attack on Iran, explaining that preparatory work is being carried out to strike nuclear facilities. This was reported by gazeta.ru, citing Bloomberg.
During a ceremony for graduating pilots from the Air Force, the minister noted that one day they could be involved in such an attack. "You could cross the air boundary within two to three years and participate in an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, for which we are preparing, simultaneously significantly raising our preparedness in recent years," Gantz said.
Earlier, Benjamin Netanyahu, leader of the Likud party, stated that the new Israeli government would continue working towards the elimination of Iran's nuclear program in order to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons. According to him, the new government will also work on strengthening the status of Jerusalem and maintaining the status quo on religious issues.
