French Ambassador Summoned to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry

The French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Anne Bouillon, was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on Wednesday, where she was handed a note of protest. The reason for this action was the anti-Azerbaijani statements made by representatives of French political parties, which have raised concerns among Azerbaijani authorities.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan stated that the letter addressed to the French President from the leaders of political forces represented in the French parliament contained unfounded accusations against Azerbaijan, which constitute a "violation of Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity."

It should be noted that French political leaders have addressed an open letter to President Macron concerning the security of Artsakh Armenians. One of the demands is to condemn Azerbaijan for the occupation of part of Armenian territory and for war crimes.
