2023 Will Be Crucial in the War with Russia, Zelensky Says

Next year must be decisive in the war against Russia. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an evening video address, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“We continue to prepare the defense and security forces of Ukraine for the upcoming year. This must be a decisive year. We understand what risks there are in winter, we understand what we need to do in spring, which means we understand what results the entire defense and security sector should show,” he said.

Zelensky noted that a significant achievement of this year has been the establishment of processes for the repair of both domestic and captured military equipment. “We have separately discussed the issues of ammunition supply and the repair of military equipment; we have managed to create a system so that not only the repaired equipment is returned to the battlefield, but also the equipment captured from the battlefield is taken and served for our state. This is a very important achievement of the year,” Zelensky stated.
