The dimensions of the 1000 dram banknote issued in 2022 are 130 x 72 mm. The banknote is printed on Hybrid™ high-quality composite material, which is a cotton paper coated on both sides with a thin layer of polyester. On the front side, the upper part of the banknote is printed in deep printing with the words "CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA," and below it, in small letters, the repeated phrase "CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA 1000 DRAM" along with the respective numbers. To the left of the banknote, there is a portrait of Paruir Sevak with the inscription “PARUIR SEVAK.” To the left of the portrait, the denomination is printed in numbers as "1000," and the banknote serial number is indicated in black comprising the letters "AB" (the banknote series) followed by eight digits (the banknote number). Below these inscriptions, there is an optically variable ink defensive feature, which has a framed appearance and contains the image of a feather and a horizontal “floating” 3D bright element.
In the background of Paruir Sevak's portrait, excerpts from his manuscripts and images of bells are presented. The face value of the banknote in words and numbers – "THOUSAND DRAM 1000" – is printed in the lower right part.
In the center of the banknote, there is a window-like protective engraving with a color-changing feature from red to green, containing “floating” 3D bright images in the form of corners, the emblem of the Armenian dram, as well as the inscription “1000” in metallic ink.
In the upper right part of the banknote, the banknote serial number is printed in black, under which are the signatures of the Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia and the Minister of Finance of Armenia. To the right of this is a transparent window displaying a clear image of a feather. The right edge of the banknote is horizontally printed with the year of issue “2022,” and vertically with “CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA.”
