VIDEO: 'You Are Taking Those Speeches Out from the Shelves' - Language Clash in the National Assembly

In response to the speech of Arzvik Minasyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, regarding the amendments to the judicial code, where he stated that "the judicial power in Armenia continues to be seized by the ruling party," National Assembly President Alen Simonian remarked:

"This sounds like a speech from after March 1, 2008, when the judicial power was clearly taking actions against the likes of Djhangiryan. You are taking those speeches out from the shelves, which should have been made in 2006, 2007, 2008, during the operations of cordons, when they were becoming allies with Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan, when well-known figures were calling judges. Occasionally, you can also take our speeches from the opposition times, switch them around, and present them as if they were delivered now," Simonian stated.
