Video: Armenian Ambulance Crosses Lachin Corridor with Red Cross Escort
The Armenian ambulance managed to cross through the blocked section of the Lachin Corridor alongside vehicles from the International Committee of the Red Cross, which were allegedly accompanied by Azerbaijani so-called "environmentalists." This information was reported by Баграмян 26.
It is likely that the ambulance in question had been stranded on the other side of the blockade after transporting a patient from Artsakh to Yerevan.
Under the escort of the International Committee of the Red Cross, a man born in 1960 with health issues was transferred from Artsakh to Armenia. The information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Mher Musayelyan, the executive director of the Republican Medical Center in Stepanakert.
"The man was examined a week ago and was advised to undergo emergency surgery. He had been in the hospital for some time but then went home to receive medication. We were waiting for the road to open, and we would take him for surgery, but well..." said Musayelyan.
According to him, the man needs to be transferred to the Norq Marash Cardiology Center, where he will undergo open-heart surgery.
