VIDEO: ‘30 Years of Holding Artsakh, Held from Good to Bad’ - Opposition MP Questions the Government

“You come here with a serious face, saying you have held for 30 years, what have you held? You have held the territory under which the enemy has strengthened, your leaders have become wealthy, and our army has not progressed. If anyone comes to this podium and claims to remember even a single new military solution you purchased during your government years, I will be stunned,” said Vahagn Aleksanyan, an MP from the ruling party, during today’s extraordinary session of the National Assembly, responding to opposition speeches.

Later, Arthur Khachatryan, an MP from the ‘Hayastan’ faction, referred to Aleksanyan's speech, recalling Prime Minister Pashinyan's statement in Sardarapat: “He said we have the most combat-ready army, we would have won the 44-day war if it weren't for the Turks. Well, wasn’t that potential gathered during those 30 years?”

According to Khachatryan, “Artsakh has been held for 30 years, held from good to bad. Whether with old weapons or new weapons, it has been held.”
