Ukrainian Forces Deploy Air Defense Systems on Rooftops in Artemivsk, Donetsk
Ukrainian military personnel are utilizing the rooftops of buildings in the city of Artemivsk (Bakhmut) in the Donetsk region to install air defense systems. This information was provided to RIA Novosti by the Donetsk People's Republic's (DPR) People's Police.
"Air defense observation posts staffed with personnel are being set up on the rooftops of high-rise buildings, while additional field hospitals are being established in the basements, and supplies of food and ammunition are also being relocated," the source stated.
Earlier, acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin informed the media that Russian units near Artemivsk are blocking supply routes for the Ukrainian armed forces. Artemivsk is located to the north of the DPR's Horlivka, controlled by Kyiv. This is a critical transport hub for supplying Ukrainian forces in Donbas, as the city is crosscut by a network of roads and railways.
Since February 24, Russia has been conducting a special military operation aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
