Export of Grain and Sunflower Oil from Armenia to Be Prohibited

In 2023, the export of wheat, barley, corn, millet, sunflower seeds, and sunflower oil from Armenia will be prohibited. This decision was made at today’s government meeting as a continuation of the restrictions in place for 2022.

The necessity of this decision is explained by the need to ensure food security and stabilize the economy.

It is worth noting that the previous decision regarding the export ban on grain was adopted on May 26, 2022, which prohibited the export of the mentioned food products from Armenia until November 26, 2022.
