Azerbaijan Has Not Set Any Conditions for Armenia Regarding the Opening of the Corridor, Says Emergency Situations Minister
Lachin corridor has checkpoints of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Artsakh, said Armenian Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Pambukhchyan during a conversation with reporters after a government meeting.
“Currently, unfortunately, the corridor remains closed,” he noted. The minister stated that citizens who are stranded in Goris due to the road closure are being provided with assistance properly.
Pambukhchyan assured that he is in daily contact with his counterpart in Artsakh. He mentioned that no conditions have been set by Azerbaijan for Armenia regarding the opening of the Lachin corridor.
“We have given significant international attention to this process and will consistently pursue the opening of the Lachin corridor so that 120,000 of our compatriots can be freed from the blockade,” emphasized the Minister of Emergency Situations.
