Russian Forces Continue to Be the Main Guarantee of Peacekeeping in Artsakh: Sergey Shoigu
Russian forces continue to be the main guarantor of peacekeeping operations in Syria and Artsakh. This statement was made by Russia's Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu during an expanded meeting of the ministry's board.
Recall that on November 9, 2020, the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. A declaration was signed whereby seven regions of Artsakh were transferred to Azerbaijan, along with the cities of Shushi and Hadrut, excluding one village, as well as the villages of Askeran and Martuni regions, and the villages of Talish and Mataghis in the Martakert region.
