Residents of Hin Shen Face Serious Humanitarian Issues
The residents of Hin Shen community in the Berdadzor sub-region are facing serious humanitarian issues due to the closure of the Stepanakert-Goris interstate highway by Azerbaijan. In an interview with Artsakhpress, the community head Samvel Sargsyan stated that if the situation continues like this, they will face a shortage of medication. "There are many elderly people in the village who receive necessary medications under state procurement, which will run out soon," Sargsyan informed.
According to the community head, some of the people stranded on the road due to the closure by Azerbaijanis have settled in Hin Shen. "Currently, the population does not have a significant lack of food supplies. There is still a trading point operating in the village, and everyone uses the fruits harvested from their gardens during these days," he added, noting that the residents of Hin Shen are not discouraged and are standing firm on their native land.
