VIDEO: Protest Against the Blockade of Artsakh
Thousands of citizens are staging a protest in front of the UN office in Armenia, supporting the 120,000 Armenians in Artsakh who have been under complete blockade for 9 days. The participants of the protest marched from Liberty Square, passing by the embassies of Russia and the USA.
Chanting slogans such as “We are Artsakh” and “Open the Road to Life,” the demonstrators called on the world to take effective measures to prevent the deepening humanitarian disaster in Artsakh.
It is worth noting that for the 9th day, Azerbaijan has closed the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the world. The population of Artsakh, including 30,000 children, is under blockade. The supply of food, medicines, and essential goods has been halted.
Patients in extreme conditions are unable to be transported to Armenia for treatment due to the blockade. Artsakh is on the brink of a humanitarian crisis because of Azerbaijan's criminal actions.
