Which Countries Voted Against the UN Resolution Targeting Russia

Kazakhstan voted against the UN resolution demanding Russia withdraw its armed forces from Ukraine. This was reported today, December 19, by the Asia Plus news agency, as cited by eadaily.com.

According to the agency, Astana did this for the first time since the commencement of the special military operation. The document includes a demand to "immediately cease military aggression against Ukraine and unconditionally withdraw all its armed forces from the territory of the country." In favor of the resolution, 82 countries voted, while 80 abstained and 14 states voted against it. Among those opposed are Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Nicaragua, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Mali, Sudan, Zimbabwe, and Cuba.
