Over a Thousand Tourists Stranded at Vnukovo

More than a thousand tourists are stranded at Vnukovo Airport. This has been reported by Tez Tour, as stated by Говорит Москва.

It is noted that the reason for this is the closure of Jordan's airspace.

“Passengers are receiving vouchers for food and water. Those with night flights are being accommodated in hotels. Customers who were supposed to fly to Russia from resorts in Egypt are continuing their stay in hotels until further notice,” the tour operator told РИА Новости.

Tez Tour explained that iFly flights have been delayed because, on December 10, Jordanian aviation authorities requested the provision of an insurance certificate issued in London. However, obtaining such a document has become impossible due to the sanctions imposed on Russian carriers.

The airline has developed an alternative route and is awaiting approval from Russian aviation authorities. Rosaviatsiya has requested iFly to transfer passengers to flights of other carriers.
