Photos: Fuel Lines, Heating Issues. Stepanakert Today
Since December 13, Azerbaijan has cut off gas supplies from Armenia to Artsakh. People have been deprived of heating and hot water, medical facilities have been unable to provide basic medical assistance, and classes have been suspended in educational institutions in Artsakh that rely on gas for heating.
This morning, Artsakh’s State Minister Ruben Vardanyan announced that gas supplies have been restored in Artsakh, and this has been done without any preconditions.
It is worth noting that since the morning of December 12, a group of Azerbaijani individuals in civilian clothing has obstructed the Stepanakert-Goris highway connecting Artsakh to Armenia under the pretext of environmental concerns. The road remains closed.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the command of Russian peacekeepers is negotiating with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides to ensure the unhindered passage of the corridor.
The following photos depict how the people of Artsakh are coping today.
