Stepanakert-Goris Interstate Road Closed in Both Directions

The Stepanakert-Goris interstate road is closed in both directions. This has been reported by the Artsakh National Security Ministry's Police.

“Due to another Azerbaijani provocation, Artsakh has been effectively blockaded for a day, violating the rights of thousands of citizens. As a result of the current situation, citizens coming from Armenia to Artsakh have had to spend the night in Goris, with some, including women and children, in the Lisagor community of Shushi region.

It is noteworthy that on December 12 at around 10:30, the Azerbaijani side violated the provisions of the trilateral agreement of November 9, 2020, and closed the only road connecting Artsakh to the outside world under the pretext of environmental reasons, infringing upon the vital interests and rights of the civilian population.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide additional information regarding the developments.
