«When Putin Dies, the War Will End». Zelensky

«If Russian dictator Vladimir Putin dies, the war provoked by Russia against Ukraine will end, as the institutions of the occupied country will cease to function». This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a special program on Netflix.

Zelensky noted that it must be acknowledged that a significant part of the Russian people either believe in Putin or are simply afraid of him. He specifically stated, «If Putin dies as a result of illness or an accident, there will be no war because in an authoritarian regime, much depends on one person. Therefore, when such a person departs, the institutions stop functioning. There have been such times in the USSR when everything came to a halt. Politicians will engage in domestic politics, not foreign policy,» Zelensky explained.
