On December 12, at 00:14 local time (20:14 GMT on December 11), the seismic monitoring network of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded an earthquake with a magnitude of 1.9 near the Armenia-Turkey border, located 20 km south of Yerevan, at coordinates 40.00° N latitude and 44.50° E longitude, at a depth of 10 km.
