In the Next Two Years, a Unified Gas Market Will Be Established in the EAEU: Putin

In the next two years, a unified gas market will be established in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a press conference following the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

“In the coming years, we need to implement the agreements we formulated earlier,” the Russian leader stated.

Putin also mentioned that it will be necessary to achieve the establishment of a unified gas market within the next two years and to define the principles of its operation, as well as to move forward with the practical implementation of a common electricity market.
