Gas Hub in Turkey: Gazprom Chairman Meets Erdogan

The Chairman of the Russian Gazprom holding, Alexey Miller, visited Istanbul, where he discussed the establishment of a gas hub in the Republic with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. This was reported by KP.

“During the visit, a meeting was held between Alexey Miller and the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with the participation of Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Fatih Donmez. The meeting addressed issues related to the supply of Russian gas to Turkish consumers, as well as the prospects for creating a gas hub in Turkey,” stated Gazprom’s website.

Previously, Turkey's leader had told journalists that an international gas hub would be established in Turkey as soon as possible. According to him, Thrace, located in the European part of the country, would be the most suitable location for the hub.
