From Minimum Wage to Ownership of Houses, Cars, and Millions: Khachatryan on Representatives of Power

Representatives of power have significantly enriched themselves over a few years and accumulated considerable wealth. A logical question arises in our society: how has a person earning a minimum wage become a homeowner of several houses and cars and declared millions of drams?

This was stated by Agnese Khachatryan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.

“We have a situation where authorities cannot clearly document how much money has been returned to the budget. Recently, the media published information regarding Arsen Torosyan's enormous wealth accumulated, including a fish farm, etc. When he was the Minister of Health, a company owned by his wife won large tenders,” said Khachatryan.

The deputy noted that a situation has arisen where we have worse records of bad practices.
