Who Are the 4 New MPs of the 'Armenia' Alliance? CEC Grants Mandates to Candidates
The Central Electoral Commission has granted parliamentary mandates to Mher Sahakyan, Arpine Vardanyan, Arman Ghazaryan, and Irina Gasparyan from the 'Armenia' faction. Six candidates included in the electoral list of the 'Armenia' alliance submitted applications for self-withdrawal, thereby refusing the mandates.
During the December 8 meeting, the CEC first recognized the cancellations of registration of candidates Rimma Ghazaryan, Ruben Melkonyan, Robert Hayrapetyan, Maria Petrosyan, Sayat Shirinyan, and Davit Sahakyan, based on their self-withdrawal applications.
Following that, based on the documentation affirming the expiration of the mandates of several members of the 'Armenia' faction, the CEC granted their mandates to the next candidates in the first part of the electoral list of the 'Armenia' alliance. Thus, Mher Sahakyan will replace Aram Vardevanyan in the parliament. The mandate of Vahe Hakobyan was given to Arpine Vardanyan, while the mandate of Hripsime Stambulyan went to Arman Ghazaryan, and Elena Kirakosyan's mandate was granted to Irina Gasparyan.
Earlier, applications for renunciation of the parliamentary mandate were submitted by Aram Vardevanyan, Vahe Hakobyan, Hripsime Stambulyan, and Elena Kirakosyan.
