Scholz on Russia's Possible Use of Nuclear Weapons
Russia does not threaten the world with nuclear weapons, and Germany is prepared to discuss arms control issues with Moscow in Europe, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated on the Deutschlandfunk radio on Thursday. The information was reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the German leader, the threat of nuclear escalation has decreased, aided by dialogue with China and the G20 countries.
“Russia does not threaten to use nuclear weapons.” Scholz emphasized that he is ready to negotiate with Russia regarding arms control in Europe. This was proposed even before the Ukrainian crisis, and there has been no change in this stance,” Deutschlandfunk reported.
