«Stop frightening people with absurd scenarios»: Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron sharply responded to a journalist's question regarding possible electricity outages in France this winter, urging to stop scaring people with "absurd scenarios."
“This debate is absurd. The role of state authorities and organizations is not to sow fear. Their role is to do their job to ensure electricity for the people. This is everyone's responsibility, and it lies in ‘energy sobriety,’ not scaring people with absurd scenarios,” said the French leader.
Macron made these comments during his visit to the Western Balkans summit in Albania. The information was reported by RIA Novosti. He emphasized that France is a wonderful country with a major energy model.
“We will get through this winter, despite the war. I am simply asking everyone to do their job,” Macron noted.
