How a Regular Soldier Sustained Injuries: Investigative Committee Provides Details
The Investigative Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in the military branch of the Investigative Committee regarding the instance of a soldier sustaining gunshot injuries, in accordance with Article 528, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
According to preliminary information, on December 3, 2022, around 8:00 PM, a soldier from the Ministry of Defense's N military unit, Private G.H., while on combat duty, sustained a gunshot wound to his right thigh from the service firearm of the "AK-74" type that had been assigned to him.
An investigation is currently underway. Measures are being taken to fully clarify the causes and circumstances of the incident.
Note: A person suspected of or charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, and a court decision that has entered into legal force.
