Russia Not Opposed to Agreement, Says Grossi
The withdrawal of weapons from the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, which Ukraine is demanding, will be part of an agreement between Kyiv and Moscow with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). This was stated by IAEA Director Rafael Grossi in an interview with La Repubblica.
"The withdrawal of weapons from the nuclear plant is what the Ukrainians are asking for. And in any case, it will be part of a general agreement. Russia is not opposed to the agreement and the principle of protecting the plant," Grossi said.
According to him, both sides have already fundamentally agreed not to shell the plant and not to fire from its territory.
