Saakashvili's Mother on Her Son's Future Political Involvement

The mother of former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili, Giuli Alasania, has stated on her Facebook page that her son will no longer be involved in political activities in Georgia.

“Mikheil Saakashvili does not intend to participate in the political life of Georgia in any way and hopes for a fair decision regarding his case,” wrote his mother.

She also emphasized that Saakashvili does not blame the Georgian authorities for his possible poisoning, as previously claimed by his lawyers. It has been reported that the level of heavy metals in Saakashvili's body exceeds the norm.
