Extraordinary Session of Parliament to Adopt Statement Against Azerbaijan's National Assembly
The National Assembly convened an extraordinary session initiated by the "Armenia" faction. The session was called in connection with the Azerbaijani parliament's statement made on November 8, 2022.
Earlier, opposition deputy Andranik Tevanyan wrote on his page: "The Armenian parliament must respond to the Azerbaijani parliament, which, while addressing the 44-day war, has distorted the essence of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, presented unacceptable demands to Armenia, and openly expressed its expansionist aspirations regarding the territories of our country. How the ruling faction will behave regarding our initiative and response statement, I can only speculate, but I will not comment on it for now. An extraordinary session of the National Assembly will be held on December 2. There is not much time left; everything will become clear, although everything is already evident."
It is worth noting that during the meeting of the National Assembly's Committee on Foreign Relations, the committee's chairman, Edward Aghajanyan, called on members of the ruling faction to refrain from voting on the adoption of the project.
