Video: Pashinyan's Sharp Remarks on CSTO Activities
In his remarks at the summit of the heads of member states of the CSTO, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that even though Armenia was a member of the CSTO, this fact did not prevent Azerbaijan from taking aggressive actions.
“In fact, until now, the member states of the organization have failed to make a decision regarding the CSTO's response to Azerbaijan's aggression. These facts significantly damage the reputation of the CSTO both within our country and beyond its borders. In my assessment, this was Armenia's biggest failure as the presiding country of the CSTO,” Pashinyan said.
He noted that today marks the end of Armenia's presidency in the CSTO. This period has been quite eventful, as they marked the 30th anniversary of the signing of the CSTO treaty and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the CSTO.
“Unfortunately, our mood is not very celebratory. Over the past two years, Armenia has been subjected to aggression from Azerbaijan at least three times,” emphasized the Prime Minister of Armenia.
