Yerevan Municipality on Damages to Government Building Ornamentation

In light of the ongoing discussions in various media regarding the works being carried out on the buildings of Republic Square, we find it necessary to inform that a working discussion took place with partners from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports before the project was implemented. They emphasized the importance of restoring the consequences of the work to be carried out on these buildings, as well as minimizing the impacts of the work.

Taking this into account, under the contract signed between the Yerevan Municipality and the ‘Sinamart’ LLC, the company has undertaken the obligation to restore the external appearance of the building by filling in the voids after the dismantling of the festive lighting infrastructure.

We would like to specifically emphasize that the image circulated on the internet, where the light source is embedded in the ornamentation, has no connection with the Yerevan Municipality's Christmas lighting project.
