Six Players from Zenit and Spartak Suspended After Controversial Brawl
Six players from Zenit and Spartak have been suspended due to an incident that occurred during the sixth round of the Russian Cup tournament.
The disciplinary committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU) analyzed the brawl that took place shortly after the end of regular time in the Zenit-Spartak match during the group stage of the Russian Cup.
It is noteworthy that the massive brawl started almost simultaneously with referee Vladimir Moskalev's final whistle. As a result, Zenit players Wilmar Barrios, Rodrigo, and Malcom received red cards, as did Spartak players Shamar Nicholson, Alexander Sobolev, and Alexander Selikhov.
Consequently, all six players have been suspended for six cup matches.
