Mexican Boxer Who Threatened Messi Apologizes
Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez has announced on Twitter that his threats directed at Lionel Messi, the star player of the Argentina national football team, were inappropriate. Alvarez previously accused Messi of showing disrespect towards Mexico and urged him to "pray" for not meeting him in person.
“In recent days, I have been overcome with passion and love for my country, which led me to make erroneous statements, for which I want to apologize to Messi and the people of Argentina. Every day teaches us something new, and this time it is my turn,” wrote Alvarez.
